Perhaps it was the 48 hours straight that he and I have spent, much of it without mommy around. Perhaps it is just his time. Perhaps it is some other monumental reason that I am unaware of, but during the past two days Mason has begun repeatedly calling my name: Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, ad infinitum.
I know he isn't really calling my name, but my brain and emotions don't really seem to care, so it makes me happy. He is also trying, but mostly failing, to repeat some of what we say. Mommy says "Goodbye" and you can hear him trying to make the sounds but not quite sure how to form them in his underdeveloped little mouth. Mostly, a joyous little "BAAAABAH" comes out instead, which is undeniably a sound of pure happiness.
Mostly.
