It is official

Mason walks. Sure, it is still that wobbly, drunken sailor leaving for the docks sort of walk, but it is walking. How is it different than yesterday say, when he could walk the length of our living room rug from one parental hug to the next, over and over ad nauseum? Glad you asked.

That was walking for some sort of reward, it was a game, doing this for that. Today, however, he was seen standing up in the kitchen, for no reason, and walking the length of the house, just because. He is currently (10:16 PM) so wound up from his new skill that he wouldn't go down and just spent the past hour walking from the bedroom to the nursery where I was folding laundry (yes, I fold laundry). He can turn corners, walk circles around Zola and even navigate the dangerous tide waters of her posterior where her tail of death looms.

Our son now walks for no reason what so ever beyond the reason that it is what we biped/humanoids do for mobility. And when there is nothing better on the tele.
